When purchasing raw materials, first to determine the procurement variety, and then to see its color and fullness, humidity, grain size and the situation of kernels. The humidity of raw materials is an important acceptance index. The moisture of raw materials should not be more than 10% when purchasing. The seeds and peanuts with excessive moisture are easy to produce mildew when stored.
Storage environment of dried fruit/nut raw materials
High storage temperature and humidity of raw materials and finished products can easily lead to mildew or oxidation. The warehouse shall be kept ventilated, dry and cool. The storage temperature of general raw materials shall be controlled below 25°C and the relative humidity shall be controlled below 75%.
Raw materials should be packed and stored with good waterproof packaging materials (such as OPP and HIGH-density polyethylene) to prevent moisture absorption of raw materials caused by external water. At the same time, raw materials should be stored with a backing plate, more than 10cm from the ground, the quality of raw materials should be checked regularly to prevent the occurrence of oxidation or mildew in the storage process of raw materials.
